A diesel D4HA will not interchange with this engine.

Why the 2.0 petrol gets replaced

The Sportage is a heavier vehicle than the hatchbacks sharing this engine, and many in New Zealand tow or carry loads. That combination is hard on a direct-injection 2.0 that is already prone to inlet carbon. By high kilometres the symptoms are usually oil consumption, misfires, and chain noise on start-up. Where the bottom end is affected, a new long motor is the straightforward fix.

What you receive

A new long motor, hot-tested before it ships: block, crankshaft, pistons, rods, cylinder head and valvetrain. Your manifolds, injectors, high-pressure fuel pump and ancillaries transfer across. New fluids and filters on installation.

New, not reconditioned

Zero kilometres, no unknown history, no exchange unit, no core charge. 1-year warranty covering manufacturing and assembly faults; professional installation required.

Delivery to New Zealand

Flat freight NZ$710 North Island, NZ$790 South Island, GST-exclusive, crated and fully insured, typically 5–8 business days.
